This work was part of a site specific project for Truro Cathedral. Rachaels research surrounded how species of animals are depicted biblically; specifically crows and animals that are deemed as having negative connotations.

MA IN FINE ART WORK

This next section highlights key explorative pieces from Rachael's 'making' stages during the MA. These pieces are works in progress and show a creative response to the constraints during the Covid-19 pandemic. Rachael's work explored the exploitation of meat; how this can be metaphorically be used as a vessel to portray social and economic issues surrounding consumerism, ultimately at a rate that is unsustainable. Digitizing works is alien to Rachael - as she is a keen practical maker. She responded in a way that pushed her professional practice further - and ultimately lead to a visual conclusion to her body of work.
